About Queen & Crumpet

Hello! My name is Dana, the founder and writer of Queen & Crumpet. I started this blog because I really, truly love the United Kingdom. I mean, really, really love it. If I could claim dual citizenship, I would. I suffer from Nationality Identity Crisis. My books on the Royal Family alone are staggering - and if it has the Union Jack on it, I probably own it. I've always thought it was all a bit crazy, but I've learned to embrace it. This love dates back a looooong time, with my first visit to see my family there, and has continued to grow ever since. Each and every time I visit, I reminded again why I love it, and grow to love something new. I truly feel at home there, as if I've been there all along. I love everything about it, and I wanted a place where I could share this crazy love with others. Fashion, literature, the Duchess of Cambridge, food, history - it's all here - finally a place where I can share it all with all of you lovely people.

A little about me:

Things I Love: A cup of PG Tips with sugar and milk, the red of a postal mailbox in England, stomping through puddles in my wellies, shopping for new baubles, spending a rainy day catching up on Coronation Street, getting lost in an old, stately home, watching the English countryside roll by from the first class cabin on a Virgin Train, hearing that lovely british accent, spending time with my family both at home and abroad, anything Jcrew, a sunday roast, the clean, freshness of a sunny spring day, a good fish and chips, the check of the original Burberry pattern, rummaging for antiques, chocolate croissants, the red sole of a pair of Louboutins, a beautiful English garden, popping outside for a barbecue, Liberty London patterns, a lovely hat placed at the perfect angle, fortnum & mason hampers, anything with a royal warrant (particularly my Range Rover and Cadbury chocolate), The Duchess of Cambridge, The Duke of Cambridge for that matter, Wedgewood China

Oh Ginny! We are going to be fast friends! I got hooked on Corrie during my last visit. And then HULU stared airing it!!! It's about two weeks behind. But I'll take what I can get!
